Any prepaid phone plans that allow unlimited mobile to mobile across any network?
Are there any prepaid phone plans that allow free mobile to mobile across different networks? If not, what is the most cost effective prepaid plan available? preferably with low daily access charges, unlimited nights and weekends, long distance/roaming and low per minute rates?
Does AT&T offer only count for mobile customers who are AT&T?
For instance, will unlimited mobile to mobile only function if I call another AT&T customer?

Which prepaid phone plans should I choose? I plan to get a no contract phone with a prepaid phone card for ONLY necessary calls. I won’t be using the phone to spend hours talking with friends, texting, or surfing the web. I heard that some phone plans will deactivate your account if you don’t add another card within three months.
I want a phone plan that will keep my account activate for a year BUT without having to pay a huge amount of money since I will only use the phone for necessary calls. Which plan and service has the best option?

How to upgrade a prepaid mobile phone

If you have a prepaid mobile, also known as pay-as-you-go, and its getting a little tired looking and you want to upgrade to a newer model there are a surprising amount of options available to you. Whilst we all get attached to our trusted mobile phones there’s no reason to make the transition over to a new handset any more difficult.
The major advantage contract customers get over their pay-as-you-go counterparts is getting huge discounts on their handsets when it comes to upgrade. In fact many contracts will offer free devices, in exchange for a 12 or 18 month tie-in with the provider. Unfortunately if you are going to remain on a pre-paid deal this won’t be possible, however there are still great deals to be found.
Most devices are available for general sale. However, to save money you may wish to stick with the provider your current SIM is attached to. Unfortunately SIM free mobiles tend to be the most expensive as they are effectively being sold at the standard rate by the manufacturer. Of course they do have the added advantage of being open to any SIM, therefore even if your provider isn’t able to provide a specific handset, you can still splash out and get a phone that is compatible with any network.
For a slightly cheaper option, purchase your new phone through the network you’re currently with. Most companies will subsidise phones to a certain extent, so you may well find that you save a few pounds by sticking with what you know. If you’re looking to buy one of the top smartphones though you’ll have to be prepared to invest some serious capital as they don’t tend to come cheap. Basic phones can cost as little as 50 pounds, whilst the top devices can command charges of a few hundred pounds and beyond; so your choice may ultimately be dependent on your budget.
If you do choose to upgrade your prepaid phone, you don’t need to worry about having to remember a whole new number though. Whether you’re keeping your old SIM card or not, most mobile phone operators will give you the opportunity to keep or transfer your number; minimising the upheaval and inconvenience of finding a new handset.
Of course if you are looking to upgrade your phone, you may also be interested in upgrading your phone package. Contracts are becoming increasingly competitive. Prices are coming down, whilst the plans are including more calls and minutes. There are mobile phone packages to suit most people and most budgets. Of course it isn’t for everyone, many still enjoy the freedom that comes with topping up only when needed. However, if you are looking to upgrade, it is certainly one more option to consider.
However you choose to upgrade your phone, be sure to hunt around for the best deals. In this competitive market companies are increasingly vying for attention and your custom, which can ultimately result in bargains. There’s no need to lose your number and there’s no need to pay over the odds. Upgrading is pain free and simple, all you need to do is a little research, find out the phone you want and hunt it down.
