well the go phone i good cuz im just getting the unlimited text for a month for 25$ idk about talking but im getting the lg neon anf free shipping…and straight talk is good

  • bendingspoon:

The coverage uses the verizon network. Straight talk is a joint between trackfone and verizon. Trackfone is allowed to utilize verizons massive network. So yeh you get CHEAP cost with a HUGE network coverage

i ported my number from tracfone to sraighttalk and i could use my phone perfectly fine in like 15 min maybe i got lucky but i love the phone also at the straight talk you can go to upgrade and then you can change between straight talk phones easily

Good carrier (verizon) poor customer service, they only have 1 contact number and it’s not a 24/7 service and is usually overloaded and takes forever to get through.

No apps available, No java, caller ID only shows number even if set to name and number, double charged me the 1st month, took 3 days to reach cust service and activate phone even though they have a website that is supposed to handle it but couldn’t for some unknown reason, also took a day and half to program phone after actived.

Ive found that Tracfone has great coverage everywhere. It really saves me a lot and there are no extra charges so I only spend what I need. Tracfone has nice phones and it is easy and affordable to be in contact.

Thanks for a great review. I’m really happy with my Tracfone and the amount I pay (and save) with it each month, but I’m always looking around in case there’s something better. So far I still haven’t found anything offering the same value and coverage together.

  • 509cr7:

@edwinross1 i think tracfone is a rip off cuz 20 bucks for 60 minutes thats a rip off..virgin mobile beyong plan is 25 bucks a month and get internet and texting unlimited and they give u 300 minutes

  • 509cr7:

@edwinross1 oh and it also has good coverage

  • Acin101:

is that a tracfone in your hand

READ THE FINE PRINT AND WHATEVER YOU DO, DO NOT REFILL COVERAGE UNTIL YOU HAVE USED YOUR COVERAGE COMPLETELY. THEIR SYSTEM IS DESIGNED TO SCREW THEIR CUSTOMERS. WHY ELSE ERASE ANY REMAINING COVERAGE YOU HAVE WHEN YOU ADD A NEW REFILL CARD? THIS IS A SIMPLE QUESTION THAT NO ONE AT STRAIGHT TALKS CUSTOMER SERVICE DEPARTMENT CAN ANSWER.

  • EscapeNewJersey:

staright talk and tracfone are different brands from the same company!

  • Zubirrex:

@init4kicks2 Are you saying the minutes don’t roll over?

  • Zubirrex:

@powdersprings30127 I had the Samsung 401, and it started turning itself off when I closed the slider, so I have to agree here. I really liked the phone, but missed a lot of alls due to it powering down after sending a text. I’d recommend getting their Blackberry clone over one of the slider keyboard models.

  • jjason55740:

Streight talk is a good deal but the phones absolutely suck. But the call quality and coverage and texting plan is by far phenomenal. But I like my blackberry with Boost mobile to much to give it up for a crappy straight talk phone. I’ll probably regret it when I don’t have service when i go out of town but i love my blackberry to much.

IMO, very expensive for what you get. It is true that at&t has hidden charges and locks you in for a contract, but you get reliable and good service. Does straight talk have family plans? If it doesn’t then it still loses to all the other contract companies.

  • sylvaticalexpro:

well can you git like iphone4 as an exampl no you git a shity ass phone but you save money so that ballances thing out

A very well spoken, informative, honest, comparative review on prepaid cell phone company services. I agree that Straight Talk comes up Trumps, with really super reception, I have not been cut off once since I enrolled on ST for over a year on my travels. The $30/month for 30 days service , 1000 minutes nationwide, 1000 texts & 30 MB of mobile web access is enough if you need to make about 8 short calls a day and using the phone moderately for texts and web use. Contracts are rip-offs!

  • poshiedog:

I went on to Straight Talk and it’s the best thing I’ve ever done as I’m saving a fortune!

  • CollegeGirlFL83:

Straight Talk all the way! For me, its prefect combonation of coverage and service since I have the best of the Verizon network without the contract issues of worry of overage fees. I can really only speak for StraightTalk in terms of quality, but if these other companies have the same options, it really means that prepaid is the only way to go.

In the past, Tracfone was terrible. The minutes start running, while dialing. Then, my phone started having issues. I sent it back, but never received it back. I was believe it was better off staying with them because it was a ripoff, anyhow. I know AT&T Go service is expensive. Straight Talk is great. My wife has Straight Talk phone. It is only only a one monthly fee of $45, which includes unlimited calls, text, mobile web access or and 411. Plus, the fee can be done automatically or requested.

I think that the go phone is the most expensive because they charge you for the minutes whereas straight talk is a flat fee of $45 a month for unlimited texts, calls, and internet. I think tracfone is good too because it is so inexpensive. BUT if you need a phone that is more versatile with its service, I would definitely go with a straight talk phone.

@huongthamkcs You can make call to anybody and you can also save lots and lots of money! If you are good keeping in check there’s a 30 bucks card with 1000 min voice and 1000 text. If you want more freedom, you can choose the $45 unlimited text web and voice. I had to get that one for my son because he texts at ultrasonic speed, but in any case Straight Talk will make you save a big deal!
